A snapshot of guest ratings and stories behind the stay.
“Very good food. Certainly the best restaurant food in Wooler (i haven't tried Milan Restaurant). Very dog friendly and very well catered-for coeliac options (strict GF). We were a group of 5 with 3 dogs and we had 2 meals during the week we were staying. Recommended”
“Stopped off here for some food. It was absolutely banging. I can highly recommend the steak and ale pie with chips - one of the nicest I've had. Think it was £21, well worth the price. Interior is lovely too & staff lovely!”
“I booked the hotel for a private event and the experience exceeded all expectations. Norma and her team were absolutely fantastic—warm, professional, and incredibly attentive throughout. The food was excellent, the accommodation was cosy and comfortable, and the service was truly top-notch. A wonderful venue with an outstanding team behind it. I would thoroughly recommend No. 1 Hotel and would happily return.”
“We stayed here for 1 night ,we could not fault the hospitality from the two women who checked us in, they were very kind and nothing was a trouble. The room was lovely and clean , the food and drink was also very good. I'd highly recommend anyone to stay at this lovely place.”
“Very relaxed atmosphere, the bar area is very much a pub where dogs are welcome (as far as they keep their paws on the floor). We didn't stay the night so I cannot rate the rooms but all in all it's a nice little hotel where you can relax, have a drink and a bite in good company.”
“Thank you for such an amazing stay. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, with a truly fabulous atmosphere. The manager was a hardworking professional who made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our visit. The food was absolutely stunning, and every meal was a highlight. The bar staff and housekeeping team were also wonderfully friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend it to others.”
